Foreclosure Clarity
About Foreclosure Clarity
A calm, homeowner-first guide to where you are in the Connecticut foreclosure process, what may happen next, and where help is available.
What Foreclosure Clarity is
Foreclosure Clarity is a guide to the foreclosure process in Connecticut. You tell it where you are, and it points you to a plain-language page about that stage, with links to official forms and to free, public and private help.
Currently available in Connecticut.
What it is not
Foreclosure Clarity is not a law firm, a lender, a servicer or a government agency. It does not give legal advice, does not decide what you should do in your case, and does not rank or recommend attorneys.
Where the information comes from
Each question page lists its sources, such as the Connecticut Judicial Branch, the Connecticut General Statutes and federal agencies, with the date they were last checked. Laws, court rules, phone numbers and programs change, so check the official source before you rely on a date or a number.
Attorney help
The “Talk with an attorney” link opens the Connecticut attorney directory on Foreclosure Attorney Hub, a separate website. Foreclosure Clarity does not run that directory and is not responsible for its content. Free and public help is listed on its own page: Who can I call for help with my mortgage?
